"I was worried at first as this time I didn't get to read the script at the shooting venue and had to start the drama shooting all of a sudden, but since all the people around me were amazing, I wanted to do my best while absorbing all their advice. Our shooting location was mostly within Yokohama and the local places were close by, the other time during our day off we drove to a nearby ramen shop in a long time, it felt super refreshing.”
Last year, he played in a drama called “Poison Daughter, Holy Mother” as a young murderer and then as an inexperienced with girls and unsophisticated high school student in “Koi no Yamai to Yarougumi”.
"I like acting. During the shooting period, I just think about my character all the time and try to experience their life. I was aware that I would totally mess up if I wasn’t with these guys. So I told him that I would give it a try and properly talk to them. While I was still questioning myself, I knew from the bottom of my heart that I wouldn’t’ve been able to recreate an original aura, and since I couldn’t convince myself otherwise, I knew I had to be with these guys. Though during the fight, I was stubborn and couldn’t withdraw. At that time, Hashimoto (Ryo) was the one who reached me and helped me reach the three others guys. Everyone openly talked about what happened, they pointed out what about my behaviour was wrong and how we did and said things that we didn’t mean to; and I explained how I felt. As a result, I met Johnny-san and told him how I really wanted to work with these guys and how I was the one who should try harder. Ever since, we didn’t have any big fights like this one. HiHi is the way we are now because we managed to overcome this hardship. I know I would’ve regretted the decision of running away to another group. I will never ever forget this.”
“I can totally imagine climbing to the top and ever higher with these guys”, he says with such a radiant expression.
“I think I’m truly blessed. It’s not that simple to be in a group in which every member respects and acknowledges each other. Garry-san (Igari) possesses wonderful talent. He’s also super fun when he appears on variety tv shows. Sakuchan is insanely nice and can pretty much do anyth--... Wait, no, he can’t play ball games hahaha. He’s personality is the type that draws human beings together. If I recall well, Mizuki’s the one who has been (in Johnny’s Entertainment) the longest. During performances he properly takes the spotlight but when the five of us are discussing and it’s getting heated between Garry-san and me, Mizuki who was observing us from afar steps in and is like “hey, it’s fine”, the way he’s being able to remain calm during these situations is very helpful. Especially because all the others are totally going nuts hahaha. Weird story but sometimes Garry-san and the others follow up my ideas a bit too much and sometimes the talk just becomes total nonsense and then Mizuki just looks at us, judging us. Hashimoto has that mysterious charm and way to express himself that no one else has. He’s also very kind. Even about the story I brought up earlier.... This is why I’m very grateful to be with these guys. We often switch centers for songs and no matter who the center turns out to be, I will be there, standing next to that person, my chest filled with pride. Also, I’d like to keep in mind how the 5 of us glow with happiness when we are together.”
Johnny-san must be watching closely over Takahashi Yuuto who chose to be a member of HiHi Jets; he is now confident about his position and trusts the other members deeply.
“I used to be with Johnny-san everyday, sometimes we talked about work but we would talk about trivial things and he would always find a way to tease me when I was talking. Like I would tell him “Johnny-san, you’re not making sense at all~” hahaha. Well, obviously, I had an immense respect for him. Since I thought of Johnny-san as a very open person, I thought that maybe everyone should actually talk to him more. He was like a father figure to me and this is why, even if we had heated talks that lead to quarrels, we would make up the next day. Even though we had fights, on the contrary there were times he used to praise me a lot. When I felt tired, Johnny-san's presence healed me, just as if he was emanating with negative ions or something; this is why at some point I really thought he was some kind of deity hahaha. For me, everything about him is special and I will keep in mind all the things he taught me. With all of Johnny-san’s teachings engraved within our hearts, HiHi Jets will continue to climb higher and higher.”
